Montecristo No.4 Reserva 2007 Review

Montecristo No.4 Reserva 2007

Montecristo No.4 Reserva 2007
The construction and appearance of the Montecristo No.4 Reserva 2007 combine and the result is certainly a mouth watering combination. The caramel brown wrapper and triple cap are both impeccable! Reserva cigars are quite rare and can only be made when adequate quantities of the best tobacco are available for the three year ageing process. With a bottle top removed from the top of a Becks beer, finally the time had come to light the Montecristo Reserva. Over the years there have been some draw and burn issues with the standard Montecristo No.4 but the Reserva lit beautifully and instantly offered rich Montecristo flavours of cedar and spice followed by a magnificent finish. These flavours remain with the finish silky smooth until the very end. The draw and burn also remained faultless throughout with the ash solid and disinclined to drop into the ashtray.

Montecristo No.4 Reserva 2007
I’ve had the fortune of late to review mainly regional release and limited edition Havana cigars. As they are made by the best rollers it’s no coincidence these cigars have scored very highly. The Reserva 2007 ranks amongst the best from Cuba. The flawless burn, draw and delicious finish unite to make this release almost unsurpassed! We score the Reserva a 9.5/10!
